Tele-TV Systems Announces Appointment Of Walker L. Fleming Senior Vice President, Project Management New Media and Technology Company Continues to Attract Leading Industry Executives NEW YORK -- Edward Grebow, President of TELE-TV Systems, today announced the appointment of Walker L. Fleming III as Senior Vice President, Project Management. In his new position, Mr. Fleming will be responsible for project management of the company's Multichannel Multipoint Distribution System (MMDS) and Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) implementations. These implementations will enable cable and interactive television delivery across wireless and wireline networks. Mr. Fleming will work closely with TELE-TV's partner Video Service Organizations (VSOs) Bell Atlantic (NYSE: BEL), NYNEX (NYSE: NYN) and Pacific Telesis (NYSE: PAC) in bringing these highly complex projects to market. In making the announcement, Mr. Grebow said, "The mission of developing many large systems using cutting-edge technologies and implementing them across multiple network topologies is formidable. Managing each of the pieces and integrating them to deliver high-resolution video to millions of households is an incredible task. Walker's telecommunications and management experience will be a key asset in the execution of this mission." Mr. Fleming added, "Excellent project management will be essential to the on-time delivery of video services for the TELE-TV partners. Being a part of the team to help TELE-TV Systems deliver this new digital television product represents an exciting opportunity." Mr. Fleming joins TELE-TV Systems from US West where he most recently served as Vice President, Network Programs and Operations. In his 10 years at US West, he was the Network and Technology Services General Manager for Oregon and Southwestern Washington, President of US West's Public Safety Group, and Director of New Product Development, Strategic Account Management, and Strategic Planning groups. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Program Management, Finance and Audit organizations at Martin Marietta Corporation. Mr. Fleming, age 45, holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and an MBA in Marketing from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He performed post graduate work in Computer Science at the University of Denver and is a Certified Internal Auditor. Mr. Fleming will be based at the TELE-TV Systems offices in Reston, Virginia.
