The NYNEX Technotorium, which is available through The New York Times @ times service on AOL, made its grand opening earlier this month. The Technotorium contains a wide variety of information about NYNEX and the telecommunications industry. During the chat session, Stringer will describe TELE-TV's plans to offer consumers a high-quality, competitively priced alternative to cable TV. In addition, Stringer will answer questions from AOL subscribers and share his views on the consolidation of the media and entertainment industries, including recent mergers by CBS and Westinghouse, Disney and ABC, and talks between Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting. Stringer, the former president of the CBS Broadcast Group, is one of the most outspoken and respected executives in the entertainment industry. He was recently named by Vanity Fair magazine as one of the nation's 50 "media elite." TELE-TV is a joint venture of NYNEX, Bell Atlantic and Pacific Telesis.
