Internet Marketing Tour Complete After stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, the national Internet marketing tour came to a close in Detroit yesterday. Sponsored by NYNEX and three other influencial companies in the Internet arena, the seminars focused on marketing issues and media opportunities on the Web. Some 300 people attended the programs. The attendees included media buyers and planners and account executives from major advertising agencies, as well as advertising and marketing executives from medium and large companies. Kathy Ives, managing director--electronic services for NYNEX, developer of BigYellowSM, was impressed with the whole event. "The feedback we received from attendees was overwhelmingly positive," she said. "They told us they found this information extremely valuable as they begin to plan their strategies for advertising on the Web." "The attendees asked lots of great questions, demonstrating their keen interest in this issue and a real desire to learn more. I think they came away with a better understanding of the complexities of advertising in this brand new medium and that benefits all of us," Ives added. NYNEX joined Netscape Communications Corporation, Infoseek Corporation and Starwave Corporation in presenting this successful tour.
